Garage Measuring Instructions

Face fixing to inside of garage

Using the diagram, measure the Drive Through Width (opening width of the garage and measure the Guide Height (opening height of the garage)

From each edge of the garage opening width, 75mm is required for the guide rails. For larger width doors, (doors over 4600mm wide) 90mm guide are required.

When the door is fully raised, a minimum of 55mm bottom slat should hang down in to the guide rails.  Below this is the drive through height.

For Headroom requirement see below.

HEADROOM REQUIREMENT

The small coil diameter is one of the garage door's strengths. Just 300mm headroom is required inside the garage for doors up to 2500mm opening height and 350mm for doors up to 3500mm opening height. It is recommended that a minimum of 55mm of bottom slat should hang down into the guide rails when the door is fully raised. Below this is the ''drive through height''. If a completely clear opening is required, the guide height will need to be a minimum of 55mm taller than the opening.

The door can be installed within the opening reveal (Drive Through Width).  In some instances, one runner guide could be face-fixed and one could be reveal-fixed. (See drawings below).
