EASY-TO-FIT SHOP FRONT ROLLER SHUTTERS

Measuring Instructions  


If two shutters are required one to cover the door and the other to cover the window take
 all the measurements as shown for A B C D E and F                         


FACE FIXING SHUTTERS: (one shutter to cover shop-front door and window)
Shutter Width
Using the diagram measure the brick opening width (F). From each edge of this opening width 90mm of shutter guide rail is required on each side. (this is the full shutter width, overall guide width).

Shutter Height
Measure the height from floor level to underside of brick opening height. (B) This is the guide height, add the shutters box size, headroom. (This is the shutters Total height.) The box, headroom is dependent upon the height of the shutter- see (shutter door box sizes below) for required sizes. When the door is fully raised, a minimum of 55mm bottom slat hangs down into the guide rails.

REVEAL FIXING SHUTTERS: (one shutter to cover shop-front door and window)
Shutter Width
Measure the brick reveal opening width (F) 90mm  guide rails on each side are inclusive of the reveal opening width, (this is the full shutter width, overall guide width) 

Shutter Height
Measure the height from floor level to underside of brick opening height. (B) If the shutter is installed within the recess, the height of the shutter box will be included in the shutter height. (This is the full shutter total height) When the door is fully raised, a minimum of 55mm bottom slat hangs down into the guide rails.

Installation:
The shutters can be fitted to the wall, window or door frame of the property. The shutters can also be installed inside the property. Ensure that the shutter cannot catch on anything that protrudes past the brick-line (i.e. door handles, window cill)? Packers may be required to avoid this.


Shutter Door Box sizes: Galvanised solid or Perforated (maximum shutter height including box for each box size)

Shutters up to 1200mm high

 

Shutters up to 2400mm high

Shutters up to 3400mm high


Surveying your product

  • Will the shutter catch on anything that protrudes past the brick-line (i.e. handles, window cill)? Packers may be required to avoid this.
  • If the Window/door opens outwards, will it still open when the shutter is installed?
  • Do not forget that the shutter hangs down at least 55 mm into the guide rails, below the head-plates/box.
  • Always measure the top, middle and bottom within the reveal of the opening.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient room for the shutter head-plates, shutter box and shutter guide rails.
  • Decide which would be the best side for the operator to be on.  If electric operated, then position nearest side to the power supply.
